It's clearly a bit tongue-in-cheek, but okay. On page 58 of the PDF ( in the print version), they endorse paying $130 for a 4-foot Monster HDMI cable on the grounds that the ends fell off the cheap Chinese cable they compared it with (and found no difference). Hooray! But there's a rather glaring inconsistency that makes me really wonder how much, if any, editorial oversight went into it. Or, and that may be even better, start qBittorrent connected to the exclusive network connection you have configured, and terminate that connection after a moment to see if the BitTorrent client will block all traffic.So, thanks to bOING bOING, I found the supremely geeky Wired Test special section is available online as a PDF. no vPN connection and start the program to see if traffic is blocked. There you find listed all network connections.

Click on Network and Sharing Center on the next page.

Select Network and Internet from the selection menu.

Select Control Panel Home on the screen that opens.

Use Windows-Pause to open the Windows Control Panel.
